About the position

As an Inventory and Logistics Site Associate at Depuy Synthes, you will play a crucial role in managing the inventory and logistics operations for a leading medical devices company. This position is based in Woburn, MA, and offers a competitive pay rate of $28 per hour, with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing inventory management processes, collaborating with the sales team, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will be involved in various tasks such as managing replenishments, handling customer purchase orders, and performing inventory reconciliations. This role is essential in contributing to the overall efficiency of the supply chain and advancing patient care through effective logistics management. In your daily activities, you will manage the check-in and put-away processes for orthopedic products, contact freight forwarders and internal clients, and assist in regulatory inspections. You will also be responsible for labeling warehouse stock for easy identification and retrieval, adhering to standard operating procedures, and leading projects as required. Flexibility is key, as you may need to shift priorities based on the needs of the business. Responsibilities

  • Managing inventory including replenishments, local stock, new product introductions, and expired product.
  • Collaborating with the local sales team on customer PO collection and customer solutions.
  • Performing check-in and put-away process for Orthopedic products.
  • Contacting freight forwarders, receiving parties, and internal clients.
  • Partnering with customer accounts receivable to mitigate pricing issues and process invoicing.
  • Labeling warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval.
  • Following standard operation and quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Performing cycle count and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Assisting in regulatory inspections and performing safety and quality audits.
  • Adhering to training requirements and health and safety regulations.
  • Leading projects as required.
  • Being flexible to other tasks as priorities shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School degree or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or customer service is preferred.
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, assertiveness, and proactive communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Practices (GxP) is preferred.
  • Inventory management experience.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to utilize specialized software and customized programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or customer service.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Practices (GxP).
