Inventory Clerk, two openings (9:30 am to 6 pm or 4 pm to 12:30 am)

About the position

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory levels and accuracy within a distribution center. This role involves reporting, conducting physical inventory counts, and performing system audits to ensure that materials and products are prepared and tracked effectively for shipping and receiving. The position may also require additional support for product holds/releases, recalls, and returns, adhering to specific practices and regulations such as food safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain perpetual inventory of materials and products and generate applicable inventory reports.
• Perform daily cycle count activities and inventory audits, tracking and monitoring all damaged products in inventory and providing necessary reports to leadership.
• Verify clerical inventory records against physical inventory counts and investigate and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate product recalls, holds/releases, and product infestation audits as needed.
• Monitor pest control programs if required at the site.
• Ensure the facility is inspection-ready at all times, facilitating quality/regulated training and coordinating the site's quality management program.
• Maintain the site's quality management portal and draft/revise site SOPs as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Industry-specific experience (i.e. food grade) may be required based on the site.
• Familiarity with ISO requirements preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Attention to detail.
• Pass background and drug screen.
