About the position
DeSales Media Group is seeking an IT Inventory Control Agent to manage the procurement, tracking, configuration, and distribution of mobile communications devices and IT equipment. This role involves advising on technology solutions, managing client relationships, and implementing strategic initiatives to support both internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide support in Software licensing and Hardware Asset Management.
- Develop and update best practices and analytics for hardware and software asset resources.
- Support the implementation of an integrated framework for asset management using dashboards and workflows.
- Track systems and methodologies for IT asset management.
- Prepare and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide training on change management.
- Generate paperwork for obtaining price quotes and placing orders.
- Track expenditures against applicable contracts.
- Research and report on inventory under existing supply contracts.
- Apply asset tags and log equipment into the inventory management system (Zeus).
- Issue equipment to end users and update the inventory management system.
- Perform initial configuration of devices before issuance.
- Register devices with security and device management applications.
- Prepare devices for shipping and transport them to end-user organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management in a not-for-profit environment.
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) environments.
- Excellent writing capabilities for client-facing documents.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Nice-to-haves
- Project Management training and familiarity with Project Management Tools.
- Familiarity with bulk Apple and Samsung mobile device activation and deployment.
- Familiarity with Zeus Asset Tracking.
- Software licensing management experience.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including VBA programming.
