As a Inventory Control and Receiving Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our inventory system, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and overseeing the receiving process for all incoming materials and supplies. This position requires a meticulous and organized individual who can also assist with procurement activities when needed. The ideal candidate will be proactive, efficient, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced startup environment. Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using our inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Reconcile inventory to the master Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Manage inventory specifically for the manufacturing department, which builds one-of-a-kind devices.
  • Understand and manage technical and machined parts used in the manufacturing process.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage.
  • Verify quantities and descriptions of received items against purchase orders.
  • Properly document and label all received materials and supplies.
  • Add incoming packages into our inventory system during the receiving process.
  • Coordinate with vendors and carriers to resolve any issues with shipments.
  • Assist the procurement team in sourcing and ordering materials and supplies.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, and track deliveries.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in inventory management, supply chain, or related fields is a plus.
  • 4+ years experience in inventory control, receiving, and/or procurement, preferably in a hardware-centric tech or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection processes and concepts.
  • Understanding of technical and machined parts is important.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
  • Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum.
