About the position

The Inventory Control and Receiving Manager at Winston Water Cooler, Ltd. is responsible for overseeing the inventory management processes at the Deer Valley distribution center. This role involves managing a team, optimizing inventory tracking systems, and ensuring efficient operations to handle a constantly changing inventory of plumbing and industrial construction supplies valued at $5M. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail to improve inventory control procedures and anticipate supply needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and build teams of inventory or warehouse employees.
  • Manage inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
  • Evaluate deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
  • Conduct cycle counts, location adjustments, location analysis, and physicals as required.
  • Manage schedules of employees, deliveries, and shipments to optimize operations.
  • Communicate with inventory employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
  • Propose strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
  • Monitor demand and analyze data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
  • Report on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency, and personnel issues to upper management.
  • Manage the recruitment and training of new inventory employees.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management, or similar.
  • Experience working with inventory management software, reporting, and forecasting strategies.
  • Experience conducting tracking and data analysis.
  • Product and inventory management certification is a plus.
