About the position

The Inventory Control Assistant Manager will support the Inventory Control Manager in overseeing inventory management, international shipping, and logistics processes. This role involves analyzing data, optimizing procedures, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective inventory control. The position is based on-site in Allentown, PA, and requires collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain accurate inventory records and implement efficient shipping methods.

Responsibilities

• Review existing procedures and implement new methods for inventory data management.
• Liaise with the parent company for export documentation and special order shipments.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Prepare periodic inventory and logistics reports for senior management.
• Research and recommend cost-efficient shipment procedures.
• Assist with departmental operations to maintain workflow and meet production schedules.
• Maintain professional relationships with service providers.
• Stay informed about departmental standard operating procedures and quality control requirements.
• Participate in meetings to communicate issues and resolve problems.
• Engage in safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience in SAP.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• High-level understanding of supply chain processes.
• Experience with online shipping/tracking platforms (DHL, FEDEX, UPS) is a plus.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Forklift experience is beneficial.
