About the position
The Inventory Control Associate plays a crucial role in coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to the production schedule. This position involves reviewing and distributing production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and compiling reports to ensure efficient production operations.
Responsibilities
- Examine documents, materials, and products to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards.
- Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements.
- Record production data, including volume produced, raw material consumption, and quality control measures.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies to meet production demands.
- Revise production schedules as needed due to design changes, labor or material shortages, or other interruptions.
- Distribute production schedules and work orders to relevant departments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of experience in inventory control.
- 1 year of experience in cost analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic mentoring skills to provide support and feedback.
