About the position

The Inventory Control Floor Lead at lululemon plays a crucial role in supporting the Global Distribution teams by ensuring accurate inventory management and operational efficiency within the distribution center. This position involves leading and training Inventory Control Associates, problem-solving inventory discrepancies, and fostering a culture of safety and inclusivity. The lead will also be responsible for daily workforce planning and performance tracking, contributing to the overall success of lululemon's supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support Inventory Control Associates in investigating and resolving inventory inaccuracies in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Assist with real-time audits of on-hand inventory as part of the SO program.
  • Communicate results and findings across distribution center departments.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, training, and support to Inventory Control Associates.
  • Deliver functional training to new Associates and level-set training to existing employees as needed.
  • Assess the skill level of learners and communicate necessary information to improve job performance.
  • Support Supervisors with daily workforce planning and communicate updates and risks clearly.
  • Deliver individualized feedback to Associates to improve daily role performance.
  • Direct the opening and closing tasks of the department.
  • Track performance of individual employees and ensure correct system usage.
  • Resolve daily issues related to Outlook, Excel, IBM, WMS, and Oracle.
  • Teach department-specific systems to new learners and demonstrate technical literacy.
  • Prioritize workflow and staffing needs in collaboration with Supervisors.
  • Track material and support resourcing needs weekly.
  • Identify bottlenecks and pain points in operational flow.
  • Problem-solve interdepartmental operations issues as they arise.
  • Support and adhere to a culture of safety within the DC and educate on safety topics.
  • Track and restock department supplies.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience leading others directly or indirectly.
  • 1 year of experience providing facilitation and training.
  • Strong understanding of key warehouse functions and standard processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills with team members and business partners, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt to third-party technologies (RF scanners, voice picking, and new systems).
  • Excellent counting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently.
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable schedule, including nights, holidays, weekends, and occasional overtime.
  • Sufficient proficiency in English to follow safety policies and instructions; bilingual applicants encouraged.
