About the position

As the Inventory Control Manager at GXO, you will oversee the Inventory Control team, ensuring adherence to company policies while maintaining the integrity of inventory records. This role involves monitoring trends, researching issues, and recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency. You will provide leadership and training to team members, fostering a positive work environment that promotes productivity and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Inventory Control team members, ensuring company policies are enforced.
  • Maintain the integrity of inventory records while following established procedures.
  • Research complex transaction histories to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, as well as with customer representatives.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate activities for team members, ensuring effective use of productive working hours.
  • Investigate all facets of facilities operations to troubleshoot processes and make/recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • U.S. citizen status to meet government and federal law program requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
  • APICS or CSCMP certifications.
  • 5 years of inventory control experience, including supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications.
  • Solid time management and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience.
  • Self-motivated work style with excellent analytical and math skills.
  • Solid attention to detail and follow-up skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems.
