About the position

The Inventory Control Manager I at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for leading the Inventory Control team, ensuring operational excellence in inventory management, and fostering key customer relationships. This role involves monitoring inventory accuracy, managing cycle counts, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory processes and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership and direction for the Inventory Control team.
• Ensure customer inventory accuracy and shrink are monitored and reported timely to site leadership.
• Maximize the performance of site inventory processes and systems.
• Manage planning and execution of proactive and reactive cycle counts in compliance with service level agreements.
• Develop and implement procedures to prevent, detect, and correct errors in inventory transactions.
• Apply continuous improvement initiatives to drive process and inventory accuracy.
• Design and generate reports to track inventory accuracy and compliance trends.
• Maintain knowledge of internal and customer systems to support operational teams.
• Ensure proper identification and repackaging of damaged products.
• Develop labor plans and equipment needs budget for review with site leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent or 4+ years related work experience in inventory control, logistics, or related discipline.
• 3+ years logistics industry experience.
• 3+ years supervisory or management experience in an inventory control supervisory role.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems like JDA, Red Prairie, Manhattan, DMPLUS, SAP, etc.
• Deep understanding of Inventory Control and its financial and operational impacts, preferably in an e-commerce Fulfillment environment.
