About the position

The Inventory Control Manager at Home Market Foods is responsible for overseeing inventory flow across production sites and distribution centers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles. This role requires effective communication with various internal departments and management, focusing on continuous improvement in inventory processes and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage physical inventories process of all site components.
  • Oversee cycle counting programs and audits at all locations.
  • Leverage continuous improvement concepts to optimize the cycle counting process.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, working closely with warehouse, production, and accounting teams.
  • Maintain strong dotted line ownership to cycle counting team.
  • Monitor and validate all inventory adjustments being made within the system.
  • Provide regular reports to leadership team on the current state of the inventory with strong understanding of key drivers and recommended actions.
  • Maintain and update related scorecard dashboards to keep the business appraised on critical KPI.
  • Identify inefficiencies in production and warehouse processes and work on solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with costing, customer service, and regulatory teams to ensure accurate financial forecasts based on inventory adjustments.
  • Assist in troubleshooting functions related to shipping, receiving, production, and consumption.
  • Act as super user for Microsoft D365 system and champion innovation for process efficiency, data visibility, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or related field required.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Advanced Formula creation) required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Inventory Management, preferably in Manufacturing and distribution settings.
  • Familiarity with inventory management documentation and processing requirements preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and upholds high standards.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems required; Microsoft D365 experience preferred.
