About the position

The Inventory Control Manager at Sabre Industries is responsible for overseeing the inventory control and receiving teams to ensure the organization has the necessary materials to meet customer expectations. This role involves monitoring resources, maintaining financial integrity through accurate transaction recording, and achieving departmental objectives while adhering to safety and quality standards. The position requires strong leadership and analytical skills to manage inventory processes effectively and interact with various levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop the receiving and inventory control teams.
  • Monitor and evaluate equipment needs to maximize operational efficiency and maintain safety.
  • Oversee the execution and reporting of the department's operational duties, including receiving in-bound shipments and managing inventory.
  • Manage transaction processing duties within the ERP system, including receiving, issuing materials, and reviewing negative inventory.
  • Plan, execute, and report all cycle counting procedures and corresponding reconciliation to the ERP system.
  • Accountable for planning and executing the annual physical inventory and reconciliation to the sub-ledger and general ledger.
  • Interact with divisional and executive management to identify inventory control process changes and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory and manage excess and obsolete material in collaboration with finance.
  • Maintain a high degree of integrity regarding professional behavior and safety in inventory areas of operation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in inventory control or supply chain management.
  • Exceptional leadership, written and verbal communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze data with acute attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ERP/MRP manufacturing software.
