About the position

The Inventory Control & Logistics Manager at Global Products Group is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control and logistics within the organization. This role is essential for ensuring inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse operations, and managing the flow of materials from procurement to production and shipment. The manager will coordinate closely with production and logistics teams to ensure timely shipping and accurate dispatch of finished products to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective inventory and logistics management strategies.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules while optimizing stock levels.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping raw materials for production and dispatching finished products to customers.
  • Oversee the scheduling, tracking, and documentation of shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with shipping vendors to negotiate rates, monitor performance, and resolve issues.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities, minimize delays, and improve efficiency.
  • Establish procedures to streamline the storage, handling, and replenishment of inventory.
  • Train, develop, and manage warehouse and logistics staff, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and ERP systems, with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations for warehouse and logistics operations.

  • Annual salary: $55,000 to $60,000, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
