The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with property accountability and auditability as per the respective Agency regulations. This role involves coordinating with the Senior Logistics Staff Officer or their designated representative to ensure that inventory and accountability efforts align with the overall priorities established by the Office of Logistics. The contractor will conduct inventories of goods and materials, either independently or as part of a larger team, and may serve as a Responsible Officer if deemed appropriate by the senior Logistics focal point. This position requires excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, as it involves routine physical inventorying, organizing records, and interfacing with a diverse range of individuals. The Inventory Management and Property Control discipline is highly diverse, and the specific duties and responsibilities may vary depending on the office of assignment. The contractor will effectively supervise other contractor personnel in completing tasks and coordinate efforts with the appropriate senior Logistics Staff Officer to ensure alignment with Office of Logistics priorities. Responsibilities include processing routine inventory requests, validating the receipt of goods and materials, providing status updates, maintaining electronic records, and assisting in the property inventory process. The contractor will also help reconcile property discrepancies, maintain vehicular allowances, track agency telephones, and perform other related duties as assigned. Additionally, the contractor will process requests for vehicles, prepare usage charts for reporting to the General Services Administration (GSA), distribute parking permits and E-ZPass devices, and issue component vehicles for short-term use while tracking keys. This role requires a TS/SCI Security clearance with Polygraph and a basic understanding of logistics procedures, policies, and various logistics databases and applications. Excellent communication skills, the ability to develop professional relationships, and adaptability to changing work requirements are essential for success in this position.
