A critical aspect of this role is cross-functional collaboration, where the manager will identify and resolve root causes of inventory losses, working closely with various partners to problem-solve and implement preventive measures. The manager will also be responsible for routine inventory adjustments, collaborating with the Area Director of Finance to monitor and communicate performance metrics. This includes analyzing significant cycle count adjustments to identify root causes and communicating findings with the team. Furthermore, the role involves managing vendor packaging issues, overseeing the reclamation process, and coordinating with buyers for billback or on-site repackaging of products. The manager will also handle non-saleable inventory, ensuring timely resolution of issues related to suspense inventory, such as recalls or damages. The position requires reviewing and approving customer credit requests, determining root causes for process improvements, and ensuring compliance with SOx controls, including inventory report reviews and quarterly cycle count completion. The Inventory Control Manager will supervise a team of up to 9 employees, depending on market size and complexity, and will be eligible for wireless reimbursement based on specific criteria.
