About the position

This position is responsible for conducting root cause analysis of inventory cycle counts and dumps, developing process improvements, and working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. The role requires providing necessary support and training to inventory supervisors to ensure their job requirements are met. The individual will be tasked with assigning and monitoring inventory control projects aimed at enhancing departmental efficiency, utilizing methodologies such as LEAN, DMAIC, and JDI. Collaboration with Human Resources is essential to build and retain a quality inventory control team. Additionally, the position involves assisting supervisors in creating and updating spreadsheets and procedures, which will be measured by the auditing process. The role also includes reviewing the performance of new items and taking action to eliminate underperforming SKUs to prevent financial losses. A critical aspect of the job is to review cycle count and dump transactions, analyzing them for compliance with current policies and procedures, as well as identifying root causes of discrepancies. The position may require performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs, ensuring that the inventory control processes are efficient and effective.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct root cause analysis of inventory cycle counts and dumps.
  • Develop process improvements for inventory control.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Five years of Inventory Control Supervisory or Management experience.
  • Solid understanding of the food service business and warehouse transactions processing.
  • Good customer service and personal interaction skills.
  • Familiarity with the Adage Business System and Warehouse Management Systems is strongly preferred.
  • Technical skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Adage, AllPoints, and PKMS.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and holidays as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with LEAN, DMAIC, and JDI methodologies.
  • Knowledge of auditing processes in inventory control.
