About the position

Castle Co-Packers, LLC is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to join our production team at our facility located in Latrobe, PA. As an independent contract beverage manufacturer, we specialize in high-end, specialized brands, producing awesome sodas and teas. Our plant is Kosher and Organic Certified, and we are committed to sustainability and recycling in our operations. The Inventory Control Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing material inventory, ensuring that all necessary materials for production are supplied efficiently and accurately. This position requires a strong technical background to maintain day-to-day inventory operations that meet both company and customer quality standards while adhering to all relevant regulations. In this role, you will manage the daily production operations related to material inventory control, maintaining accurate records of goods received and materials consumed. You will oversee audits of physical material inventory and provide status and forecasting reports of raw materials and packaging supplies to both customers and the production management team. Building and maintaining good working relationships with customers and vendors is essential, as is coordinating incoming logistics planning with suppliers. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless receipt of shipments and collaborate with the Production and Warehouse teams to designate appropriate storage locations for all purchased components, raw materials, and packaging. Additionally, you will maintain a physical organization plan and work with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with quality standards. The Inventory Control Manager will also identify areas for improvement within the inventory processes and collaborate with the management team to develop and implement effective strategies and policies. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a strong customer service orientation and the ability to work in a results-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day production operations as it relates to material inventory control
  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and materials consumed
  • Oversees audits of physical material inventory
  • Provides status and forecasting reports of raw materials and packaging supplies to customers and production management team
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with the customers and vendors
  • Coordinates incoming logistics planning with suppliers and customers
  • Works closely with Warehouse Manager to ensure shipments are received seamlessly
  • Collaborates with Production and Warehouse to designate storage locations for all purchased components, raw materials, and packaging
  • Maintains a physical organization plan
  • Works closely with Quality Manager to ensure all materials and material-related procedures adhere to the company's and customer's quality standards
  • Identifies areas for improvement and collaborates with management team to develop and implement strategies and policies

Requirements

  • Must possess 2-3 years inventory control experience including developing new strategies and policies
  • Must possess at least 2 years of management/supervisor experience including employee development, performance coaching, and day-to-day supervision in a production environment
  • Experience with food processing or beverage production is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Safe Quality Food standards, GMPs, HACCP
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn additional computer programs
  • Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize
  • Must be a highly motivated, customer service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail
  • Must possess a demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented and challenging environment
  • Must be able to work well with people of diverse backgrounds, provide constructive feedback through appropriate communication skills and provide motivational support
  • Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds, Physically able to bend, reach and climb stairs
