About the position

The Inventory Control Manager at Outform Group is responsible for managing the warehouse team and overseeing daily warehouse operations. This role ensures that all work requests are facilitated, manages material movement and inventory, and oversees ERP activities related to warehouse management system (WMS) functions. The position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure efficient operations and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises up to 10 to 15 employees and oversees warehouse operations for two facilities.
• Writes performance reviews for warehouse staff.
• Works with the Director of Manufacturing to ensure all warehouse equipment is available and in good working order.
• Oversees all cycle counting and consolidation activities for various inventory types.
• Analyzes count variances for root cause and determines corrective actions.
• Coordinates and maintains new warehouse locations with the Materials Manager.
• Ensures obsolete finished goods and component inventories are discarded after reviews and approvals.
• Reviews production schedules daily and interfaces with the Plant Manager to supervise and prioritize jobs and material requirements.
• Works with ERP generated pick list reports and requisition orders to ensure real-time transactions in Movex.
• Tracks backorders and coordinates part shortages with responsible planners.
• Attends team meetings and trains staff on navigating D365 and managing transactions.
• Provides capacity space planning for current and future projects.
• Escalates issues with recommended solutions to the Vice President of Operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of warehouse experience managing hourly employees.
• Previous exposure to ERP and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
• Knowledgeable and experienced with ERP systems.
• Forklift certified and must attend all compliance training courses.

Nice-to-haves

• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• APICS Certification and Membership is a plus.
