We are looking for an analytical, skilled individual to join our team as an Inventory Control Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate inventory records, optimize inventory processes, and ensure efficient stock levels to meet customer demand. The responsibilities of the Inventory Control Manager include managing inventory items, controlling day-to-day inventory operations, and implementing inventory control protocols. This role requires developing and implementing inventory management procedures to maximize efficiency, monitoring inventory levels, and replenishing stock as needed. The manager will coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and analyze data to identify trends and forecast future inventory needs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve inventory processes is essential, as well as utilizing inventory management software to track and manage stock levels. Regular inventory counts will be performed, and the manager will train other employees in cycle counting and inventory control. The Inventory Control Manager will work closely with other teams including sales, shipping, and purchasing, ensuring that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner. They will instruct others on how and where to return defective goods, draft inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data, and report inventory statistics to management while suggesting improvements to inventory control. Coordinating with other workers to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems
  • Strong analytical skills for data mining and trend analysis
  • Experience with order fulfillment and distribution center operations
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles
  • Familiarity with Nielsen or similar retail analytics tools
  • Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Previous experience in retail management is a plus
  • Four years of Inventory Control Management experience in a distribution center
  • Four (4) + years of supervisory experience
  • A four-year degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred
  • Highly evolved communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written, computer)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to hire, train, coach, assess, evaluate, develop, motivate, and empower others
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvements
  • Lead by example, 'roll up the shirtsleeves' management style and work ethic
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure that the warehouse staff adheres to j5create Safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data and provide trending information to the management team

Nice-to-haves

  • Microsoft Business Central experience a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of and prior usage of barcode scanners - RF systems
