About the position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure efficient production and distribution operations. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular audits, coordinating with various departments, and implementing effective inventory management strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and ensure timely reordering of materials and products.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare detailed reports for management.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and smooth workflow.
  • Identify and implement improvements in inventory control processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Utilize inventory management software to update and monitor inventory data, and train staff on its use.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding inventory management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Excel.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
