About the position

CarParts.com is seeking Inventory Control Specialists to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for helping ensure inventory counts are accurate and that parts stock meets order pull demand. You may also be involved in order picking and packing our products. The Inventory Control Specialist is one of the most important positions for serving our customers' needs. You'll be key to driving our success at our Jacksonville, FL distribution center and contributing to the overall company mission! The Inventory Quality Control Specialist will perform inventory control activities in a specific department. You will maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing product SKUs. Through digital and manual counting, you will identify discrepancies within inventory reports, research and correct them, and provide reports to the Inventory Control Manager (ICM) for review. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal skills along with outstanding people management skills. You may be required to manage and maintain accurate picking of orders using an RF Scanner, audit inventory management processes for accuracy and efficiency, and maintain cycle count accuracy through both digital and physical counting. Additionally, you will liaise with multiple departments to maximize accuracy and efficiencies within the warehouse regarding inventory. Maintaining organization and cleanliness in the inventory area, ensuring proper placement of inventory in specific bins, and maintaining safety while using equipment and tools are also key responsibilities. You will oversee all RMA and RTV transactions to ensure accurate and efficient processing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate inventory counts and meet order pull demand.
  • Order picking and packing of products.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing product SKUs.
  • Identify discrepancies within inventory reports and provide reports to the Inventory Control Manager.
  • Manage and maintain accurate picking of orders using an RF Scanner.
  • Audit inventory management processes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain cycle count accuracy and provide reporting to management as needed.
  • Liaise with multiple departments to maximize accuracy and efficiencies within the warehouse.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the inventory area.
  • Oversee all RMA transactions to ensure accurate processing.
  • Oversee all RTV transactions to ensure accurate processing to vendors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse inventory role.
  • Previous experience operating Cherry Picker/Stock Picker.
  • Minimum 2 years in a warehouse inventory capacity.
  • Excellent organizational skills for monitoring and improving efficiency of storage and selection.
  • Familiarity with data entry systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and bend for long periods in a warehouse environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
