About the position
As an Inventory Coordinator at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the inventory system. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage changes in inventory due to scrap, substitutions, or change notices, ensuring all updates are accurately reflected in SAP. You will also implement new inventory controls and processes to enhance inventory accuracy within the plant.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate change management with cross-functional groups to ensure all ICNs are updated in SAP and communicated to stakeholders.
- Process internal inventory documents to maintain accuracy due to scrap tags or substitutions from the production floor.
- Review inventory reports to reconcile errors, conduct root cause analysis, and implement countermeasures to prevent future errors.
- Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to cycle count information and drive engagement and actions.
- Strive for continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction by recommending and implementing new technologies and measures.
- Participate in kaizen and drive continuous improvement throughout the factory.
- Conduct and participate in safety observation tours and audits, adhering to local safety directives and policies.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management.
- Strong critical thinking and Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP.
- Must have work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
