About the position

The Inventory Control Specialist at Shasta Industries is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing procurement processes, and ensuring that necessary materials are available to support production needs. This full-time, in-office role requires collaboration with various teams within the warehouse and manufacturing facility, focusing on inventory control, price negotiation, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of inventory
• Prevent and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Monitor purchasing processes including shipments and follow-up of purchase orders
• Coordinate with internal customers to ensure adequate material availability
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to support internal customer needs
• Problem solve for constant quality improvement in inventory and purchasing
• Maintain inventory records and order products daily
• Receive daily transactions into the operational system and reconcile open receivers
• Close purchase orders and maintain open order status reports
• Craft purchase order and inventory reports for management
• Input daily transactions, including reconciliation and inventory adjustments
• Reconcile all inventories and conduct research in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma
• 2-3 years of related experience
• Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience in negotiating price and terms of purchase orders
• Excellent organizational skills
• QuickBooks skills
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Functional knowledge of Excel and Word docs
• Construction experience a plus
• Pool experience a plus
