About the position
The Inventory Control Specialist at Hitachi Energy is responsible for managing inventory processes, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and supporting the supply chain team. This entry-level position involves conducting searches for inventory storage, assisting with inventory transactions, and maintaining documentation related to deliveries and shipments.
Responsibilities
- Recommend process improvements to improve inventory accuracy
- Perform all inventory related transactions according to internal procedures and company guidelines
- Read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions, and assembly drawings
- Maintain documentation and generate reports on delivery and shipments within the facility and warehouse
- Participate in continuous training on new equipment or processes
- Provide detailed information to supply chain and escalate issues as they arise
- Serve as backup to materials coordinators and shipping clerks
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least two (2) years of experience with SAP highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Work authorization to permit employment in the United States
Nice-to-haves
- Associates degree in business, accounting, or finance is highly preferred
