About the position

The Inventory Control Team Member plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring a positive customer experience in a retail environment. This part-time position involves collaborating with various store departments to conduct inventory audits, manage item resolutions, and perform cycle counts, all while providing support to both the store team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store inventory accuracy by educating and collaborating with all store Team Members across departments.
• Conduct weekly merchandise scans and work with the replenishment team on product fulfillment.
• Maintain the integrity and organization of inventory in the backroom, capstock, and yard.
• Timely resolution of defective or damaged items in the resolution area within the Logistics Department.
• Collaborate with the Inventory Control Coordinator, Loss Prevention, and Store Support Center Inventory Control Team on shrink concerns.
• Enter, modify, and audit inventory adjustments, understanding their impact on store inventory and shrink.
• Acquire knowledge of store handheld devices and systems to complete job responsibilities.
• Investigate Purchase Order and Invoice discrepancies with a general understanding of the receiving process.
• Partner with the Logistics department to ensure cleanliness and organization of the resolution area and defective processing zone.
• Perform audits to ensure inventory management processes are completed accurately and provide training as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
• Ability to be certified to operate a forklift and other material handling devices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
