About the position

The Inventory Control position at Luxor Staffing involves managing and monitoring inventory processes for a temporary period of 3-4 weeks. The role requires close collaboration with buyers and plants to ensure accurate inventory counts and effective communication with vendors. The position is full-time, offering a pay rate of $18 per hour, with benefits available from day one.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the buyers and plants to monitor and maintain all programs.
• Know the inventory system thoroughly to run reports and answer inventory questions.
• Handle communication with specific vendor contacts and facilitate their needs.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and communicate issues with plants and vendors.
• Maintain vendor price maintenance tables and update records.
• Prepare various reports and correspondence as required.
• Process import payables and assist in assigned special projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• Minimum one year of experience in inventory control or a related area.
• Working knowledge of inventory internal controls and company procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of lumber math, grades, and species.
