The Inventory Controller position is essential for managing all processes related to inventory within the Lebanon Plant. This role involves ensuring that inventory is positioned correctly, received, and shipped in a manner that meets customer delivery expectations. The Inventory Controller will be responsible for recording and maintaining accurate systemic data from various forms and documents, as well as maintaining necessary records for all inventories within the plant. This position also includes physical material movement throughout the plant, delivering large steel bars for production orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and proper handling of materials. Additionally, the Inventory Controller will assist in training fellow associates and ensure that work areas and equipment are kept clean and orderly while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Control all processes related to inventory positioning, receipt, and shipment in the Lebanon Plant.
  • Record and maintain appropriate systemic data from all designated forms and documents.
  • Maintain necessary records for all inventories within the plant.
  • Move material as required or directed.
  • Assist in training fellow associates as needed.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition, following all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform physical material movement throughout all areas of the plant per defined production order routes.
  • Deliver large steel bars cut to required amounts for production orders through proper review, handling, and cutting processes.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, including performing daily cycle counts and managing the issuing and returning of materials.
  • Ship all customer and intercompany orders and receive all customer returns correctly, both physically and systematically.
  • Receive all vendor goods correctly, including validating quantity, unpacking, and movement of all materials.
  • Distribute all daily plant mail and packages shipped in.
  • Perform all Stockroom & Tool Crib duties in a proper and timely fashion.
  • Utilize multiple systems to maintain traceability on all raw materials and production orders, completing and reviewing appropriate assembly paperwork.
  • Pack and label all stocked products, maintaining traceability for shipments.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED; two-year advanced degree preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and coordinate work activities efficiently.
  • Strong ability to follow written and prescribed work instructions, procedures, and tasks.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), scanning/emailing, AS400, and SAP-based systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting diverse problems with multiple solutions.
  • Strong customer service skills and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck/Fork-truck licensing.
