About the position

The Inventory-Demand Planner is a critical role that reports to the Operations Manager, focusing on managing and optimizing the balance between supply and demand. This position is responsible for forecasting demand, ensuring product availability, and minimizing costs while enhancing efficiencies and profitability through strategic inventory management. The role requires strong analytical skills and business acumen to meet or exceed demand forecasts, driving overall business success.

Responsibilities

  • Minimize stock outs and manage all inventory movements.
  • Oversee demand planning and management processes for new and existing products.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop forecasts and allocate products while managing expiry dates.
  • Develop and manage annual, monthly, and quarterly demand plans to meet organizational objectives.
  • Prepare and support collaboration meetings for inventory planning purposes.
  • Import and track replenishment shipments by Ocean and Air.
  • Consult with suppliers on orders, inventory, and prioritizing containers.
  • Pull data from SAP to update live inventory files.
  • Work with operations to update inventory files and prepare for monthly reviews.
  • Track costs related to the delivery of containers to third-party locations.
  • Identify hazards and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Manage special and ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Handle logistic management for exporting and importing goods, particularly for LATAM, Caribbean, and Canadian customers.
  • Coordinate the export process, ensuring compliance and timely shipment notifications.
  • Collaborate with 3PL to analyze inventory for on-time deliveries to Amazon/FBA.

Requirements

  • 5 years of Inventory Planning and Logistic experience required.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and delegation skills.
  • Experienced interpersonal skills for collaboration with management and cross-functional teams.
  • High level of Excel skills required.
  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a business-related field preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
