About the position

The Inventory Demand Planner is responsible for ensuring the company's operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. This role involves estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models to support the company's sales and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and monitor inventory levels for finished goods and raw materials to meet sales and financial goals.
• Provide sales reports with analysis and share insights with the team and leadership.
• Keep an eye on sales trends to order raw materials and products in advance.
• Work with various teams (Assortment Planning, Purchasing, Operations, Product Development, Sales and Finance) to achieve company goals and support new product development and product launches.
• Identify and address any issues that slow down processes.
• Help management identify and assess risk of over and under assortment of inventory.
• Suggest and implement ways to improve demand forecasting.
• Take on additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields preferred (experience in lieu of degree will be considered).
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
• Experience in an on demand setting and familiarity with bill of materials planning preferred.
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
• Intermediate Excel capabilities (pivot tables, formulas, chart creation).
• Strong mathematical skills and analytical acumen.
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
