About the position

The Inventory Demand Planner will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels and ensuring optimal stock availability for a leading HVAC wholesale company. This position involves analyzing sales data, collaborating with sales and product management teams, and implementing inventory strategies to meet customer needs while minimizing excess stock. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by building effective relationships with sales, store personnel, and segment teams.
• Lead inventory planning strategy through historical sales activity and new sales projections.
• Work with Sales and Product Management to implement inventory forecasts for seasonal buys and promotions.
• Analyze and track existing inventory investments to maximize results towards company goals.
• Manage inventory through the product life cycle to minimize slow-moving and obsolete material.
• Train store managers on the use of branch dashboards within the Supply Chain Analytics Tool.
• Evaluate competitive pricing from suppliers.
• Place daily replenishment orders and manage order adjustments for accuracy.
• Coordinate with suppliers and logistics for purchase order pickups.
• Assist with the settlement of claims with suppliers for shipment errors.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in inventory control (preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
