About the position

NextEra Energy's Power Generation Division is seeking an experienced leader to manage a team of inventory demand planning analysts. This role focuses on providing data-driven inventory planning and purchasing support for the renewable energy fleet, including wind, solar, and storage. The position involves overseeing forecasting, planning, and executing inventory purchasing, while collaborating with operational and supply chain teams to ensure the timely availability of parts and materials, ultimately driving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of inventory demand planning analysts to develop and maintain demand forecasts for parts and materials across renewable energy sources.
  • Set planning parameters including min/max levels, safety stock, and reorder points based on forecasted demand and lead times.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to understand demand patterns and inventory requirements.
  • Utilize SAP with APO add-on to manage and optimize inventory levels and replenishment processes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
  • Participate in strategic projects aimed at enhancing parts planning and inventory management processes.
  • Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, logistics, and engineering teams to align inventory strategies with business goals.
  • Manage repaired parts process and metrics.
  • Support financial decision-making for the fleet.
  • Coach and direct the inventory management team to drive down total cost of ownership and increase productivity.

Requirements

  • Understanding of inventory system planning, supply chain, or materials management.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets to derive insights and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across functions.
  • Proven track record of managing projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong presentation skills, both written and oral.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Sciences.
  • 1+ year of supervisory/management experience.
  • DOT Hazmat Training Accordance 49 CFR 172.704.
  • Industrialized Powered Forklift Qualification.
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL).
