About the position

The Inventory Management & Control Clerk is responsible for managing all aspects of inventory control within assigned units at University Health. This role involves ensuring accurate inventory flow, preventing overstocking, and maintaining effective communication with various personnel to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of inventory management and control independently and accurately.
  • Interact with Materials Management, Clinical, and Nursing personnel to optimize inventory flow and cost savings.
  • Prevent overstocking and excessive informal inventories.
  • Clean medical equipment that comes into contact with patients.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to all Health System customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in supply operations with an inventory control background preferred.
  • Familiarity with automated inventory systems preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand oral and written instructions, numbers, PAR levels, and statistical data is essential.
