About the position

The Inventory Management Specialist (Demand Planner) position within the Department of Defense is responsible for executing the demand planning program for a complex portfolio of weapons systems and component parts. This role involves validating planning assumptions, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining accurate demand material master coding in the ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the demand planning program for a complex portfolio of weapons systems and component piece parts.
  • Support validating higher headquarters planning assumptions at the National Item Identification Number (NIIN) level and program level planning assumptions.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to maintain complete and correct demand material master coding in the ERP system.

Requirements

  • Must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • Must possess a secret security clearance.
  • Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in evaluating analysis to resolve demand planning issues.
  • Familiarity with supply database systems.
