About the position
The Inventory Management Specialist (NX) position at the Department of Veterans Affairs is responsible for the lifecycle management of non-expendable (NX) equipment within the Supply Chain Management Service. This role involves overseeing inventory control, conducting planning and analysis, and serving as a point of contact for material support and logistics issues. The position is based in Murfreesboro, TN, and is a full-time, permanent role with potential for promotion.
Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of non-expendable assets.
- Conduct short, mid, and long-term advanced planning for inventory.
- Analyze data to support customers and acquisition personnel in developing requirements.
- Coordinate material support and resolve logistic problems.
- Conduct forecasting and quantitative analysis for inventory management.
- Perform spot checks and comply with special requirements for sensitive equipment.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must possess and maintain a current, valid state driver's license.
- Specialized experience equivalent to GS-05 level in the Federal service, or education requirements as specified for GS-7 or GS-9 levels.
