About the position

The Inventory Management Specialist at NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT plays a crucial role in ensuring material availability within the nuclear reactor supply chain management. This position involves providing supply expertise to various stakeholders, developing analysis tools, and managing automation processes to meet program requirements effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide supply expertise to engineering activities, shipyards, fleet customers, and other points of contact within the nuclear reactor supply chain management.
• Develop analysis tools to ensure a 95% material availability requirement is achieved month over month.
• Exercise managerial control over the development of automation processes and production.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate necessary actions and data to meet Milestone Plans and perform comparative reviews and analysis.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• Must be certified as a Career Field Life Cycle Logistics Level I Certification within 24 months of appointment.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
