About the position

The Inventory Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing supply and inventory management within the Supply Chain Management Branch of the Production Division at NAVFAC Engineering CMD Mid-Atlantic. This role involves evaluating inventory reports, conducting inventories, and collaborating with various personnel to ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures. The position is full-time and offers the potential for part-time telework at management's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate supply and inventory management database reports to monitor compliance with system requirements and procedures.
• Analyze inventories to forecast operational needs.
• Conduct inventories (monthly, annual, cyclic, special purpose) to maintain acceptable stock levels.
• Brief management officials on program status, especially in controversial situations.
• Collaborate with equipment specialists, engineers, and personnel to verify descriptive data and usage information of supply parts.
• Document disposal papers for excess materials and equipment.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must have a valid US driver's license.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• Must complete training and maintain a government credit card for travel-related purchases.
• Specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 level in federal service or equivalent experience in the private/public sector.
