About the position

The Inventory Manager at LogistiQ Integration Solutions plays a crucial role in overseeing inventory control within the manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for managing the flow of materials and finished goods, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and leading a team of inventory associates. The role involves implementing inventory control systems, optimizing stock levels, and collaborating with various departments to ensure efficient material management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation of inventory control systems.
  • Implement best practices in cycle counting, ABC analysis, and forecasting.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance inventory management.
  • Develop and manage inventory management reports and dashboards.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
  • Manage the storage and movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and efficient picking and packing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and shortages.
  • Implement and adhere to all safety and quality standards.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels and material readiness.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, engineering, and sales teams to ensure seamless material flow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Exceptional problem solving and logistical skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to juggle contending issues and develop the best course of action.
  • Proficient use of Excel spreadsheets for data/numerical analysis as well as ERP system navigation.
  • Goal oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Proven ability to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
  • Experience with inventory management software systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and lead a team.
