About the position

The Inventory Manager position at Global Channel Management, Inc. is a critical role responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory processes within the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory management principles, as well as proficiency in SAP and accounting practices related to retail inventory. The Inventory Manager will be tasked with analyzing inventory data to ensure accuracy and efficiency in inventory control, which is essential for maintaining optimal stock levels and minimizing losses due to discrepancies. In this role, the Inventory Manager will conduct thorough analyses of inventory data and results, providing insights that lead to timely adjustments for any break-ins or discrepancies. This includes making necessary adjustments for various factors such as store-to-store transfers, lost shipments, shipping errors, synchronization issues, and closed stores. The Inventory Manager will also compile data for weekly adjustment reviews and provide comprehensive documentation for both internal and external audit requests. Additionally, the role involves researching and resolving inventory-related issues promptly to maintain the integrity of the inventory system. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that the inventory management processes are efficient and effective, contributing to the overall success of the organization. This position is based in Dallas, Texas, and offers a competitive hourly wage of $26.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of inventory data and results.
  • Provide analysis and timely adjustments for break-ins.
  • Make adjustments including but not limited to store-to-store transfers, lost shipments, shipping errors, synchronization issues, and closed stores.
  • Compile data and review for weekly adjustment review.
  • Provide documentation for internal and external audit requests.
  • Research and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and accounting for retail inventory.
  • Inventory management experience.
  • Accounting skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong working knowledge in SAP (FMS/AFS1).
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
