About the position

The Inventory Manager at Black Tie Products, LLC is responsible for overseeing supply chain and inventory improvement projects, collaborating with purchasing teams across all facilities. This role focuses on optimizing material flow, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring effective inventory management to support production planning and aftermarket parts operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supply chain and inventory improvement projects and escalations.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams to identify corrective actions for improvement.
  • Support optimization of material flow and delivery using MRP and Power BI metrics.
  • Work with the aftermarket parts team to refine strategies and implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Supervise and guide new team members in supply chain and inventory roles.
  • Conduct supplier delivery and performance audits, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Respond to engineering changes to minimize obsolescence and shortages.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage back orders.
  • Coordinate resolution of pricing, damaged parts, and shipping issues.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports, creating goals and monitoring progress.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of advanced supply chain, purchasing, and inventory management experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel) and ERP systems.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and draw conclusions from data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Four-year degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or Logistics with 7+ years of experience in supply chain and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of systematic and information flow in inventory management.
