About the position

We are immediately hiring an Inventory Manager in Jackson, TN for our Supply Chain Solutions division. This position is crucial for managing all activities associated with the efficient operation of accounts, which includes P&L responsibility, ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance, employee relations, and safety. As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of both salaried and hourly employees, resolving performance issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will collaborate with senior management and customers to determine their needs and expectations, ensuring that the account operates to meet those demands. Additionally, you will be responsible for payroll management, analyzing weekly and monthly P&L statements to determine account profitability, and providing financial data and weekly operations reports to senior management. You will also handle accounts payable, vendor quotes for purchased materials, and customer invoicing, while holding Safety & Security meetings and providing safety training to ensure compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership and motivating skills, as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills. You will need to demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills, along with excellent organizational abilities to prioritize and structure tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, is essential, as is a strong knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations and safety and security requirements. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain. Candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations, and a minimum of two years managing and leading direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance of salaried and hourly employees, resolving performance issues and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
  • Three (3) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
  • Two (2) years or more managing and leading direct reports required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations advanced required.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements advanced required.
