About the position

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire inventory management process at our Fresno location. This includes developing and implementing effective inventory management strategies and procedures that align with the company's goals. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of inventory forecasting, planning, and monitoring to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained. The Inventory Manager will analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions regarding inventory levels, ensuring that stock is available to meet customer demand without overstocking. In addition to managing inventory levels, the Inventory Manager will be tasked with creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and updating customer pricing levels in Quickbooks. Proficiency in Quickbooks and Excel is essential, as the role involves generating detailed reports to track inventory performance and make data-driven decisions. The Inventory Manager will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable purchasing terms, and monitoring inventory turnover rates to minimize excess stock. Continuous evaluation and improvement of inventory control processes will be a key focus of this role, ensuring that the company operates efficiently and effectively in managing its inventory. The Inventory Manager will work closely with other departments to align inventory management with overall business objectives, contributing to the company's success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies and procedures
  • Oversee the entire inventory process, including forecasting, planning, and monitoring
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize inventory levels
  • Manage and create all BOMs as well as update customer pricing levels in Quickbooks
  • Utilize Quickbooks and Excel to generate reports
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for purchasing
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates and implement strategies to minimize excess stock
  • Continuously evaluate and improve inventory control processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency using label software such as Bartender
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis capabilities
  • Experience in production planning and forecasting is a plus
