About the position

As the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels, efficient storage, and timely replenishment of products. This role is critical in optimizing inventory processes, implementing best practices, and maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy to support the company's operations and growth objectives. You will play a key role in developing and implementing inventory control procedures, conducting regular stock counts, and reconciling discrepancies to minimize inventory shrinkage and loss. Your analytical skills will be essential in analyzing inventory data and demand forecasts to optimize inventory levels and product mix, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items, and developing strategies to reduce excess inventory and improve turnover rates. In addition to inventory control, you will monitor inventory levels and reorder points to ensure timely replenishment of stock. This includes coordinating with suppliers and procurement teams to place purchase orders, track order status, and expedite deliveries as needed. You will also be responsible for designing and optimizing warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization and facilitate efficient inventory movement. Implementing labeling and signage systems will be crucial for accurate identification and retrieval of inventory items. Utilizing inventory management software, you will track inventory movement, update stock records, and generate reports to maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory data. Quality control measures will be implemented to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory data, including conducting periodic audits and inspections of inventory items to identify discrepancies or quality issues. Continuous assessment of inventory management processes will be necessary to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline workflows, and enhance overall efficiency. As a leader, you will mentor inventory control staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to inventory management policies and procedures. Fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the inventory team will be a key aspect of your role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, preferably in a technology or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead a team.
