Job Description
About the role
As the Inventory Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and improving inventory processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. Managing a small team across two sites, you'll drive best practices in inventory management, support ERP/MRP system enhancements, and contribute to the design of optimized storage and workflow systems.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Finance, and Production, to meet dynamic project demands while balancing inventory investment. This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone passionate about process improvement, data-driven decision-making, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee inventory optimization, categorization, and stock balancing to meet project requirements.
* Manage the redesign and organization of physical storage across multiple sites for efficiency and functionality.
* Lead stocktake processes, implement cycle-count systems, and maintain accurate inventory records.
* Proactively manage slow-moving and redundant stock to minimize waste and maximize utility.
* Support ERP/MRP system improvements, including data analysis and system training.
* Lead a small team, fostering collaboration, training, and performance improvement.
* Develop and implement inventory policies and procedures in coordination with key stakeholders.
* Ensure accurate management of customer-owned inventory and compliance with standards.
* Identify and resolve inventory issues, including material shortages and obsolescence.
