Olgoonik is seeking a dedicated and experienced Inventory Manager to oversee the inventory operations of Government-owned mission stock. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing employees engaged in conducting Distribution Standard System (DSS) or other Warehouse Management System (WMS) inventories. This role involves researching inventory discrepancies, documenting gains and losses through causative research, performing denial research, and maintaining item data and location surveys. The Inventory Manager will ensure that the inventory integrity of the Government-owned mission stock meets the acceptable performance levels outlined in the contract. In this position, the Inventory Manager will plan the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections on a weekly or monthly basis. They will establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences in accordance with general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager. The role requires the ability to redirect workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations. Additionally, the Inventory Manager will conduct planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, and information on staffing needs, as well as recommendations for scheduling project work. The Inventory Manager will also ensure compliance with established internal control procedures and will be responsible for data and inventory control. Supervisory responsibilities include ensuring that the area of responsibility operates in agreement with all referenced DLA Distribution SOPs, addendums, FRAGOS, and Process Manuals as required for day-to-day operational processing and preparation for any audit event. The Inventory Manager will manage a team of Inventory Technicians and Specialists, ensuring compliance with the Audit Assertion Program reporting and documentation requirements, including monthly assertion reporting that assigned areas of responsibility are ready for audit and corrective action plans are documented and being corrected if an assertion cannot be made.
