About the position

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective inventory management strategies and procedures to ensure optimal inventory levels and efficient operations. This role involves overseeing the entire inventory process, which includes forecasting, planning, and monitoring inventory levels to meet the demands of the business. The Inventory Manager will analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions that optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock. In addition to managing inventory, the Inventory Manager will be tasked with creating and managing all Bill of Materials (BOMs) and updating customer pricing levels in QuickBooks. The role requires proficiency in using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to generate reports that provide insights into inventory performance and trends. The Inventory Manager will also be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms for purchasing, and ensuring that inventory turnover rates are monitored and improved. Continuous evaluation and improvement of inventory control processes will be a key focus of this position, ensuring that the company maintains a competitive edge in inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies and procedures
  • Oversee the entire inventory process, including forecasting, planning, and monitoring
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize inventory levels
  • Manage and create all BOMs as well as update customer pricing levels in Quickbooks
  • Utilize Quickbooks and Excel to generate reports
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for purchasing
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates and implement strategies to minimize excess stock
  • Continuously evaluate and improve inventory control processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency using label software such as Bartender
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis capabilities
  • Experience in production planning and forecasting is a plus
