About the position

The Inventory Manager at ARAUCO is responsible for overseeing the integrity and accuracy of inventory across North America. This role involves managing inventory procedures in 3PL warehouses and ensuring compliance with company protocols. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners to maintain accurate inventory levels and drive continuous improvement in inventory management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and refine inventory processes to ensure control of all inventories according to company's inventory policies.
  • Manage relationships with 3PL providers related to inventory compliance and accuracy.
  • Responsible for developing and managing schedule for onsite inventory counts and system reconciliations for all locations.
  • Manage onsite inventory counts at 3PL warehouses to maintain accuracy and assist with the identification of units missing labels and removal of damaged units from inventory.
  • Work with internal cross-functional teams to coordinate with 3PLs to ensure proper inventory turnover (FIFO).
  • Manage and perform system reconciliations of inventory in 3PL and retail consignment warehouse locations.
  • Resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory in SAP.
  • Lead investigations to determine the root cause and actions items associated with any inventory differences.
  • Responsible for managing any necessary inventory adjustments, correcting UOM conversion errors, and resolving EDI errors to ensure timely billing.
  • Lead the claim resolution process with Arauco 3PL's, Home Depot 3PL's Home Depot stores, and origin countries.
  • Prepare warehouse claims and letter of disposals as needed.
  • Develop and report on key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement of inventory controls.
  • Perform analysis to predict potential inventory problems.
  • Examine inventory levels and determine where we have excess, shortage or aging inventory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of proven work experience in inventory management and knowledge of inventory control processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Nice-to-haves

  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices with hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Experience with SAP
  • 6 Sigma or other continuous improvement experience
  • APICS CPIM or equivalent certification
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
