About the position

The Inventory Manager at Green Globe International, Inc. is responsible for managing and monitoring inventory levels to ensure that the right amount of products or supplies are available at the right time. This role involves overseeing the flow of materials and products in the warehouse and production areas, optimizing inventory levels for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and ensuring that all business operations have adequate materials to achieve their objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
  • Analyze inventory reports and data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to ensure sufficient inventory levels and reduce stockouts.
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to minimize inventory costs and improve productivity.
  • Coordinate and conduct physical inventory audits to ensure the accuracy of inventory records and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Monitor and manage inventory turnover rates to avoid excess inventory and minimize obsolescence.
  • Communicate inventory status and concerns to management in a timely and clear manner.
  • Maintain a safe and organized inventory storage area.
  • Train and develop team members on inventory control and management practices.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.
  • Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships.
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.

Requirements

  • Experience as inventory manager or similar position.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software.
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
  • An analytical mind with strong math skills and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with other departments.
