About the position

The Inbound Manager at Balance Staffing will play a crucial role in overseeing the inventory management processes at our local warehouses in Fresno, CA. This full-time position, offering a pay rate of $28.00 per hour, is designed for a mid-level professional who is ready to take on the responsibility of supervising, mentoring, and developing the Inbound Supervisors. The Inbound Manager will be instrumental in enforcing best practices and enhancing the efficiency of our warehouse inventory team. This includes reducing safety violations, ensuring proper receiving and rotation of products, and assisting with space planning in the freezers. The Inbound Manager will strategically manage warehouse processes in compliance with the company's policies and vision. This role requires a proactive approach to propose strategies that reduce costs and improve inventory management procedures. The manager will oversee the replenishment and picking processes, ensuring that orders are shipped in a timely manner while adhering to safety policies and procedures. Additionally, the Inbound Manager will manage employee schedules, deliveries, and shipments to optimize operations, as well as handle the recruitment and training of new inventory employees. A key aspect of this role involves recording, reporting, and investigating inventory shortages and discrepancies, evaluating new inventory to ensure readiness for shipping, and setting up layouts to ensure efficient space utilization in freezer areas. The Inbound Manager will also be responsible for addressing and resolving inventory issue trackers through Jira Service Desk within a 24-48 hour timeframe. Support for outbound operations, including packaging, loading, and quality control, will also be part of the responsibilities, along with supervising related staff members as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees team of Inventory Supervisors.
  • Strategically manage warehouse processes in compliance with company's policies and vision.
  • Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of inventory management procedures.
  • Manage replenishment and picking processes and timelines to ensure orders are shipped in a timely manner.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manages schedules of employees, deliveries, and shipments to optimize operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using Jira for issue tracking and management.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to develop the Inbound Supervisors.
  • Ability to strategize and implement cost-reduction measures in inventory management.
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience in managing schedules and optimizing operations.
