About the position

The Inventory Manager at Charlie Fox will play a crucial role in overseeing inventory management at the upscale cannabis dispensary. This position involves managing daily inventory tasks, ensuring product accuracy, and supporting compliance with New York State regulations. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for product receipt, stocking, organization, and team oversight to maintain efficiency and minimize discrepancies, ensuring a seamless flow of goods from storage to sales.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the inventory team in executing daily inventory tasks accurately.
  • Oversee the acceptance and verification of shipments, ensuring all deliveries match order specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records in internal systems, tracking stock movements and reporting discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliations to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Ensure products are properly labeled, packaged, and stored according to state regulations and company standards.
  • Manage the preparation and organization of stock for sales floor replenishment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized stock area that adheres to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Work with vendors and delivery teams to coordinate timely receipt and storage of shipments.
  • Provide guidance and training to inventory staff to ensure consistent adherence to company processes and standards.
  • Monitor product expiration dates and ensure timely removal or destruction of expired items as required by regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Purchasing to forecast inventory needs and align practices with sales trends and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year in inventory management; cannabis industry experience with seed-to-sale tracking and Cannabis POS preferred.
  • Familiarity with NY State cannabis regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel/Google Sheets, and email.
  • Understanding of cannabis products and uses is a plus.
  • Basic math skills for transaction handling and calculations.
