About the position

The Operations Manager at James Perse is responsible for ensuring operational standards in visual presentation, inventory management, and back-of-house organization are met to support the sales team in maximizing sales and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This detail-oriented and results-driven role requires a high aptitude for logistics and process, serving as a model of operational excellence for the store staff. The Operations Manager also assists in the selling experience and may step in as the most senior presence in the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all areas of the store are maintained to a luxury visual presentation.
  • Partner with Corporate Operations to maintain high standards in store functioning and presentation.
  • Equip the sales team with necessary tools for seamless transactions.
  • Drive sales floor replenishment and ensure goods are organized for merchandising.
  • Complete all operational responsibilities according to Daily Task Schedules.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all Policy & Procedures by staff.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures and manage store supplies inventory.
  • Ensure store meets safety standards and report IT related Helpdesk tickets.
  • Manage petty cash, register cash control, and sales media as directed by finance.
  • Process and manage staff wardrobe allotments.
  • Ensure compliance in receiving, transfers, pricing, and shipping of inventory.
  • Maintain and audit store inventory paperwork and reporting.
  • Communicate and resolve shipment issues with Corporate Operations.
  • Prepare and execute physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
  • Minimize unit loss and inventory discrepancies to meet Company Shrink Goal.
  • Ensure all inventory is tagged and priced accurately.
  • Train and develop Operations staff to achieve operational standards.
  • Articulate the Company's expectations regarding operational excellence to staff.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and retaining Operations staff.
  • Create store schedules and manage timekeeping for store staff.
  • Inspire and motivate the store team as a brand ambassador.
  • Provide sales floor leadership and support as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze business trends with the Store Manager.
  • Identify opportunities for store improvements with the Store Manager.

  • Mid-level experience in sales and operations management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills and professionalism.
